Progress Day 2

Well things look to be moving along a tad. I messed with the menu bar a little and added the navigation menu on the left that will direct you to various states.

Also as you can seen I have added several more schools. Now that I am starting to figure things out a little bit, it has gotten a ton easier and less time consuming. Although it is a major pain in the butt! But yay for adding more schools!

Once again once you follow a link to find info about a school such as Northwood you will be met with a page that looks like this.

And say for instance you are interested in the baseball program you can select "baseball" from the sports list and be directed to the Northwood prospective athlete questionaire on the Northwood website.

Progress day 1

I have started this blog for my friends and family to see some of the progress I am making when it comes to building my website. Althought this is not published on the internet yet, hopefully it will be before summer (that's my goal anyways) I just wanted to give people an opportunity to see what it may look like when I am finished. I just didnt want people to think I was crazy since I have been working on this project of mine for over a year now and show ya'll I am actually serious when it comes to this. I hope yall enjoy. Day 1

An example of what my webpage layout will be, very simple of course. On the left will be the navigation tab that will direct you to all the states and the colleges in those states.

Once you click on a state such as Texas for instance it will bring up a webpage that will list all of the colleges in it. I am still deciding if I want to list the college by classification (such as Division 1, D2, D3, NAIA) or just list the college alphabetically.

Once you click on a college such as I have done for Concordia University-Texas it will bring up the information of the school such as cost, enrollment size, and the varsity sports it offers. Also included in the information are links to the Main webpage of the school, the athletic webpage of the school as well as links to the prospective athlete forms the school has on their website for hopefull athletes.

For example if a highschool baseball player is wanting to find a college to attend to play ball next year he can surf my website and look at Concordia University and looks at all of their information. He then decides it maybe somewhere we he might want to try and play so he clicks on the link on his sport (Baseball) and it takes him to the school's prospective athlete form for baseball which he can fill out and send to the coach. What all do you think? Please let me know
